Our football & cheerleading programs
At Wetzel County Griffins, we believe in building strong foundations. Our programs are carefully structured to develop athletes at every stage, from introductory skills to competitive play. Each level focuses on age-appropriate learning and growth.
Youth Football
We offer three levels of football, each designed to prepare athletes for the next stage of competition. From kindergarten through 6th grade, participants will compete in games with the goal of earning a spot to play for an LKC Youth Football Championship.
Youth Cheerleading
Our cheerleading program also has three teams, catering to kindergarden through 6th grade. Cheerleaders learn sideline cheers for football games and develop a competition routine for the LKC Youth Cheer Competition.
Ideal participants
We welcome any child in kindergarten through 6th grade who lives in Wetzel County, WV and wants to learn football or cheerleading. Per LKC rules, sixth grade athletes may not turn 13 years old prior to November 1st of the current year.
